Crispy chicken baked with alfredo sauce and mozzarella cheese is not only a very tasty food but also healthy, as it is cooked without oil in the air fryer. Of course this recipe can be cooked in the oven, but in the air fryer the chicken turns out very juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Also you can cook chicken alfredo instant pot, using instant pot!
I have not liked red sauces since childhood, because they are often too sour for me due of tomato paste. Even now I try to choose pasta with white sauce instead of red. If I use red sauce, it will be a sauce prepared by myself from sweet varieties of tomatoes and, as a rule, I bake them with herbs for this. This chicken recipe is the perfect combination of chicken breast and white creamy easy chicken alfredo sauce. You can make your own alfredo sauce, but I’m sharing a great ready-made alternative that will save you time and make a delicious, healthy dinner in just 15 minutes!
Home Made Chicken Alfredo Ingredients and Substitutions :
How To Cook Chicken For Alfredo – for this recipe you will need skinless and fatless chicken breast, I choose organic chilled chicken that has not been frozen. It is important to know that frozen chicken will be drier when cooked than chilled chicken. I often take vacuum-packed chicken meat, it lasts longer in the refrigerator (about 5 days) and this allows me quickly to cook fresh chicken without defrosting. You can also marinate the chicken with herbs and olive oil and store the marinated meat, then for cooking Air Fryer Baked Chicken Parmesan Alfredo you need only breaded the marinated meat and bake it, which saves time.
Breadcrumbs – It’s best to use a large, crispy breading like Panko, I often mix Panko breadcrumbs with corn flakes 1:1, this makes my chicken special and very crispy. Panko breadcrumbs are often used in Asian cuisine and are sold in the Asian section in supermarket. If you can’t find them, use only cornflakes, first grind them in a blender.
Parmesan and Mozzarella Cheese – for this dish I use Parmigiano Reggiano and medium-hard pizza mozzarella. Of course you can replace the Parmesan cheese with Grana Padano, and take fresh mozzarella ball.
Herbs – This recipe has a Mediterranean flavor, so will be used Italian seasoning with the addition of sweet paprika, I also recommend adding extra garlic powder if you like it.
Homemade Chicken Alfredo Sauce – This is a creamy sauce with a delicate, creamy texture and rich flavor. The recipe is very simple: add minced garlic to melted butter and fry until fragrant, add cream and simmer for a while over low heat, then add grated Parmesan and continue stirring until the cheese dissolves and the sauce becomes creamy, add salt and pepper to taste. Some cookers add nutmeg and lemon juice, while vegans replace the Parmesan and cream with plant-based alternatives. If you don’t want to make the sauce, you can buy it ready-made. I really like Bertolli and Rao’s.
